Alternation compensation is 70% of the unemployment allowance (without child increase) that you would get if you were unemployed.

Alternation compensation is paid for five days a week (i.e. in practice from Monday to Friday), unless there is a special obstacle to payment.

Alternation compensation is normaly paid in 4 weeks periods that is 20 days at a time. You get the average gross monthly compensation (e.g. for taxation purposes) by multiplying the amount of the daily compensation by 21,5.
